Apricus Cellars was born out of our love for the climate, land, soil, and sun of the South Okanagan and the fruit grown in those elements. Apricus (äˈpriːkʊs̠) is a medieval Latin word that means both ’basking in sunshine’ and ‘delectable’. No word better describes our wine and the environment in which we produce it.

Canter is a horse’s gait with three distinct beats, representing a winery with three founding families. With a shared history with horses, we draw parallels to them as a powerful symbol of tamed beauty – much like the process and history of winemaking in the Okanagan Valley.

When the Coghill and Main families moved to the Okanagan to build Neighbourhood Brewing, they fell in love with wine country and had to get involved. With their roots in the brewing industry, they were told by some that getting into wine was a “Foolish” endeavour.

Being raised in the Okanagan and being involved in the South Okanagan Wine industry we have all participated in different capacities in the journey from early days, across 3 generations of families to build out this incredible valley with our wine friends.

At Silhouette Cellars we’re proud to sell wine from our two family-owned wineries located on the Naramata Bench; our sparkling wine house Silhouette Estate Winery and our still house Therapy Vineyards.

Based in Oliver, British Columbia, Winemaker’s CUT produces fresh, lively wines with an Old World sensibility.
